The Hunger games Live?

Move over Paintball there is a new extreme game in town

Well I'm at a loss as to what to say about this newest game to come out other then "Awesome". Welcome to the game of archery tag, the newest extreme sports game to hit the market. As you can tell by the video, it is a fast pace, high energy game that can be played any where, and is enjoyed by everyone of all ages. By the way it appears to be a lot less painful then paintball. The next video show and tells you how to play archery tag and what the rules of the game are. Check it out.

Well now that you know the rules, who wants to get a couple of teams together and play a few rounds? This looks like so much fun, I am going to give it a try, there is a place in Denver that I found that has this game, so I am thinking the kids and I will check it out this summer. This game is growing fast and is now all over the world. The two guys that invented this game are custom builders of archery bows. Acording to what I read, they invented this game while looking for foam to put in the quiver to stop the arrows from falling out when one of the guys said to the other "wouldn't it be fun to put this foam on the end of an arrow and then shoot it at each other?" and with that the fastest growing archery game was born. Now one last video to give you an idea as to how popular and fast this game is growing.Check this out.

So what do you all think? Are you willing to try it? If you form a team and give it a try, please leave a comment here and let everyone now what you liked or didn't like and most importantly did you have fun.

Garden of the Gods

Garden of the Gods Entrance Sign near Visitor ...

Well with summer time coming and kids getting out of school being right around the corner, our small local parks a going to get busy. Local parks can be a great place for family adventures, they don’t have to have a Zip line or ropes course to be adventurous. So be sure to check out your local parks, you never know what you might find tucked away.

Here in Colorado Springs, CO we have a beautiful little park that everyone enjoys year round; it’s called “Garden of the Gods”. This park has a little something for everyone and is visited by people from all over the world. One of the biggest groups of people
to visit the park is photographers. Everyone from the average tourist to the professional photographer take pictures of some of the most beautiful local scenery. Aside from some of the most beautiful scenery and rock formations, there is also lots of wildlife that call Garden of the Gods home. There is everything from deer and big horn sheep and even a bear once in a while, to smaller animals like skunks, raccoons, fox, rabbits and coyotes. Most animals in the park can be very hard to find in the heat of the day or when the park has lots of people running around.

Another thing this park has is great rock climbing and bouldering (Check out the article I wrote titled “Let’s go Bouldering”. This park has some of the best technical climbing area around. This park has something for every climbing ability from the beginning climber to the professional climber as well. There is also
a lot of areas to go bouldering as well. A word of WARNING!! If you are planning to do some climbing, you need to register at the visitors’ center at the entrance to the park. Also remember if you don’t register and you climb and get caught you will face a fine. Also if you need to be rescued for climbing illegally you can be billed for the whole rescue.

Know if you out for just a relaxing picnic and hike with the family, there are a lot of picnic areas with tables, most are in the shade. But, even the shade can get hot during the summer time; you’ll want to have plenty of water so you don’t get dehydrated. There are a lot of really nice hiking trails, most are easy trails. Some trails will take you among the rock formations other will take you up a hill to a beautiful view of Colorado Springs and Garden of the Gods. You can also take a horseback ride or even a Segway ride, there is also a bus tour or take your time and drive yourself through the park. At
the end of your adventure you can stop at the visitor center and buy
a souvenir of your trip or you can stop in at the cafe and get that last minute snack before heading home from a another  great adventure.

So if you’re passing through Colorado Springs or coming for a visit, please be sure to stop by and see Garden of the Gods. If you’re not coming to Colorado Springs, then I would encourage you to check out your own local parks, who knows what you might find and there in lays part of the adventure.

Hey Siri

OK, for all of you who might have “Siri” on your phone, I have a challenge for you. I found some questions that people have really ask Siri on their phone. So I picked the best ones and I would like to challenge you to try them on your phone and then leave me a comment on what happened when you did it.

If you want you could make up your own off the wall question and then leave a comment about what happened. So here are a few the questions I thought were the best ones.

Hey Siri:

         1: Are you human?

2: Do you know Steve Jobs?

         3: What are you wearing?

4: Are you man or woman?

5: Show me where they buried the weapons of mass  destruction

6: What are you doing after work today?

         7: Make me a sandwich

8: The blue pill or the red one?
