Something to think about

When we think of great adventure, the first thing that probably comes to mind is the great outdoors, like camping, hiking, or going on a vacation to far-off places. But adventure can also be found at home… in your own backyard, in the form of exploring new hobbies, trying new recipes, or volunteering. The world is your oyster, so taste it!

“Adventure is the discovery of new things and people that we haven’t encountered before.” (Arthur Conan Doyle, 1895). As individuals, as families, as communities, and as countries we need to be more adventurous in our lives.

Even moving can be an adventure, especially when you’re moving out of state. New friends, new scenery, and new adventures await you no matter where you go. Life is a great adventure.

I think that even if you are just starting out as a solo adventurer, you need to learn to be more adventurous. For example, if you’re moving, you need to learn to explore new places and new people by yourself. You don’t need a crowd of people to do this. You can also learn how to stay positive while on the move.

You can also learn to be more adventurous with your family by taking road trips or trying new hobbies together. If you’re in a place where you don’t have many family members or friends, the great outdoors offers you the opportunity to meet new people and make new friends. The world is your oyster! Let’s explore it!
