The Game of Tag has Evolved

Tag Back Then

Remember these days? Ah yes, playing tag with your friend at school, in the park and at home. All you needed was a wide-open field and nothing to trip over except your own feet or the occasional collision with a friend also trying not to be tagged. The rules were simple, if you were the one doing the tagging, run like a mad man and tag someone with your hands or even your feet, whatever it took. If you were the one trying not to be tagged, the rule was simply run. the only other rule was there were no tag backs. There were no boundaries, you could run as far as you wanted just to get away. And most importantly there were "NO REFS!!!", After all, this was a ruff and tuff street rules kids game of tag.

Look at Tag now!!

That's right the game of Tag has gone Pro. These two Tag game "WCT" & "Ultimate Tag" are the two newest and fastest-growing pro tag games anywhere. Let's look at WCT first.

WCT is a very fast-paced game, each round lasts only 20 seconds. and is not played on your standard flat wide-open field.

There are two four-man teams, one player from each team starts on the field, one is the evader and one is the tagger. If the tagger is able to catch the evader within 20 seconds, he then becomes the evader and the other team sends in the next team member to be the tagger. Points are award as follows, one point for every 20 seconds the evader can avoid being tagged. Points are only awarded to the evaders team.

Now let take a look at "Ultimate Tag". Leave it to the FOX network to jump in with this one and create a TV show out of a game of tag. This one is the newest to the sport of tag, at the time I wrote this article this show was only eight days old. Ultimate Tag looks like a cross between Tag, Parcour,s and the WWF complete with the crazy characters and flashy attitudes and trash talk. In order to be considered tagged, the taggers must grab the flag that is velcroed to the competitors, there are two in the front and two on the back.

Ultimate tag is played in four rounds, round one is "Chase Tag", round two is "Dodge Tag" and this round is an elimination round. The two remaining guys and the two remaining women go on to the last two rounds. round 3 is Dome Tag (Guys) which is suspended thirty feet in the air and no harness, Women play Revenge Tag. Points and time here give the competitors an advantage in the final round. The final round the two guys and the two women compete to get to the top of a large Pyramid and hit a button to stop the clock. the one guy & woman with the best time is the winner and wins ............ $10,000.

The Strangest thing yet (Yuk!!!)

      Jellied Moose Nose

(Or just really bad Spam)

Now before you, all start writing me saying "that's not true" well it is and I will put the recipe at the end of this article. Well, I have covered a lot of very strange food before, like Pufferfish, chicken wrapped with gold leaf, spiders, and a few other strange things. But, "Jellied Moose Nose" has moved straight to the top of the list of strangest foods ever.

Well, it seems that Alaska and then Northern territories of Canada have found a delicacy in this Jellied thing. According to the article, I read the people in these areas will use every part of the Moose they can, including the lips (But that's another story). The whole process is fairly simple to make when you look at the recipe. The hardest part is hunting the Moose and then butchering it when you shoot it. I think the hunting part, would be a lot of fun.

Now for those of you who might want to try this ..... delicacy, I have a bit of bad news for you. According to what I have read, you can't find it in any restaurant or get it online, so unless you get lucky and hunt a moose and make it your self, there really is no other way to try it.
Here is what Atlas Obscura, said in their article:
"Jellied moose nose cannot be found in restaurants. You may be able to find it at a public potlatch, a gift-giving feast hosted by indigenous communities in Alaska and Northwestern Canada. Jellied moose nose can also be easily made at home; be sure to wash the nose thoroughly before cooking."

Well, that's it for today, I really want to hear your comments about this so please leave a comment down below and as I promised here is the recipe for Jellied Moose nose. Enjoy

A Random Question

Living Life's Greatest Adventures?

So here we are with the Covid19 running all over the world, causing us to shut down everything and making us hide in our homes so we don't spread the virus. Don't get me wrong, we need to be smart about this and take precautions.

So in this time of social distancing, shutdowns, lack of toilet paper LOL, and being told to remain in our homes, Here is the question:

What are you doing to live life's
greatest adventures?

For us, and the kids we have to do something creative, be it writing a story, making something, cooking, etc. Next, we have to read for an hour and last we have to get some kind of exercise, be it walking, running, biking, etc. We try to do this each day.

So what are you doing? Please share your ideas and the things you are doing to live life's greatest adventures. Who knows you might even share something new that no one else has ever thought of. Please leave your comments below.
